Accommodation

One of our goals is to support your choice regarding where you live, whether at home with your family, in a place of your own, or a home with others in the community.

We will listen carefully and attentively to understand your goals clearly. Then, together, we can come up with a way forward to help you achieve them. Our accommodation support is flexible, and you can adapt as your needs change over time.

Accommodation support could be someone dropping into your home once a week, up to a 24-hour model of high-needs support.

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Supported Independent Living (SIL) encompasses everyday activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and other essential tasks promoting independent living. Our 24/7 in-home care services are available through our supported accommodation or within your residence.

Choosing SIL with Day & Night Assist provides participants with the following advantages:

  • Functional and accessible homes (hoists, ramps, and handles)
  • Close to community services, local amenities, and public transportation
  • Equipped with wifi and a shared computer
  • Overnight assistance
  • Between six and twelve rooms
  • For three or more individuals

Short-Term Accommodation (STA)

Short Term Accommodations (STA) provide temporary housing that offers you and your caregivers respite or a brief escape from your usual residence. STA helps individuals with disabilities to foster independence and realise their aspirations in a supportive setting.

Short Term Accommodation includes:

  • Personal Care
  • Accommodation
  • Food
  • Any activities you and the provider agree to

Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA)

Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) refers to temporary housing while you await your permanent long-term housing solution. The NDIS typically provides funding for MTA as a one-time support for stays of up to three months (90 days).
